The overall interview process is pretty straightforward, easygoing, and low-stress—think of it as a chill conversation rather than a high-pressure interrogation. It's designed to be approachable, especially for entry-level or retail positions, so you don't need to overprepare or sweat the small stuff.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at McDonald's (North Sydney) in Jun 2025
Interview
Very good interview was nice and thorough and I think it went well. Asked a range of questions relevant to the role that we’re challenging but not impossible. The culture there seemed very good with friendly people

Question 1
How would you handle a customer that didn’t get the food they ordered
Good experience overall from start to finish but nothing out of the ordinary or particularly impressive in my opinion. It was fairly slow too which whilst normal nowadays wasn't ideal for me!
