I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Meltwater (New York, NY)
Interview
Brief phone interview with recruiter followed by a completely bizarre day of group interview followed by a panel interview with execs. It was an entire day where the morning session was held at a hotel (weird) and you had to sit through a presentation where you're told all about how great the position is and the company is, but that you're against all the other candidates in the room for the job. Lots of group presentation/problem solving style activities, many of the candidates were fresh MBA grads with not much in terms of social skills. After this morning session, you have to go home and wait around for a few hours to see if they'll call to invite you back for an individual interview the same day. I was invited back for an afternoon interview at the Meltwater offices where I sat across the table from 4-5 execs, one on video chat, and barraged with questions that ranged from standard interview fare to really bizarre and inappropriate. I felt like I was being interviewed for the CIA or something. This was seriously the strangest and most unpleasant professional interview experience I have EVER had.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Meltwater (Washington, DC) in Feb 2015
Interview
This was a very difficult and different interview process. I was contacted by an in house recruiter and brought to a social as a first interview. Essentially you are expected to go to this group setting in their office to socialize with everyone. This is their way of seeing how you fit in as it is a very social company. Next step is the group interview. This is a very long day of working in groups with the other candidates and preparing presentations. Afterwards they decide who they want to bring back and call you the same day. At this time you will be invited back to a panel interview where you are asked questions and do mock phone calls.
Typically you will get a call either way a couple of days after the panel interview.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meltwater in Apr 2015
Interview
Connected through a recruitment agency. First rounds consisted of a phone call with the MD to share my background, why I wanted to move into sales, what am I looking for in an employer, and some of my personal interests. They shared quite a bit on their philosophy towards building and managing teams as well.
Second round was a coffee meet with a different member of the team. More of an informal interview but went through similar questions again.
Final rounds was a panel interview and was the most challenging. You're provided with some scenarios for mock calls - after the first attempt they provide feedback and ask you to try again.
Advice would be just to do your research, know the industry, know yourself and present with confidence.
