The perception you have about the company from their website is amazing, the fact that they have recently been acquired by Cisco, was a very appealing point to me as well, so, despite all those negative comments on Glassdoor.com, I decided to approach them directly.
The HR (US based) immediately replied to my email; I was impressed!
We had a 1st telephone interview that was very basic and to be honest with you, I had the feeling she wasn't even listening to my answers! In the middle of the call she told me: "OK, I would like to take you further in the process, can you have a chat with the sales manager tomorrow?" I was quite shocked with such a short notice, but anyway I agreed.
The following day I had a lovely chat with the SM (which lately I discovered to be the only one of my same age), I think we immediately built up a strong feeling as both of our backgrounds are very similar. So after about half an hour he told me he would have been very happy to meet me personally, then invited me at their London office for a face to face interview on the following day (AGAIN!!!) because the worldwide sales director was there and wanted to meet me.
I showed up at the office on the agreed time (15 minutes early to be frank), they made me wait into a tiny room. From the glass wall I could saw the whole office (very tiny); the average age is 23/24, it looks more like a childcare than an office. While I was waiting there, I've seen some people playing with a ball, some others were playing table soccer...there's also a gong which later I found out it is played every time one of the sales is able to close a deal above 5k (!!!!!!), not really the level of sales I am used to...
Anyway, that day I've been "interviewed" 3 times by 3 different people, but all of them were asking me for the very same questions (my background basically), no role play, no selling related questions, no nothing!
The overall experience has been horrible and I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Clearly that company doesn't fit me at all and honestly I don't think will ever fit any professional, unless you're just out of college looking to start your career.
Salarywise, they don't offer that much and when I asked for the benefits, I've been told: "Those are great, you will get free snack at lunch!" They have absolutely no idea of what they're talking about!
