Applied to a position online, was contacted the next day by a recruiter saying that they'd like to set up a phone screen. During the 20 minutes phone screen, my recruiter asked me common intro questions for the first 10-15 minutes, and then talked about Meraki, the position, and the pay rate ($18-21) for another 10-15 minutes. At the end, she made it clear that I didn't have the level of experience that they wanted but used the common phrase "I'll check with my team about your qualifications".
Positives:
-Recruiter was very polite and friendly.
Negatives:
-Clearly didn't need to waste my time on a phone screen since they had already made up their mind that I was too inexperienced for the position.
-My recruiter never sent a follow up email after the phone screen. Pet peeve of mine when I'm interviewing and a company decides I'm not worth their time to at least give me a definitive "no".
