Phone Screening:
- they tell you a bit about Cisco Meraki
- ask basic screening questions
- What is DHCP, IP static routing, DNS, ICMP, Traceroute?
-usually tell you right there if your moving to the next interview
Technical Interview:
- STUDY STUDY STUDY (go over some troubleshooting scenarios before this interview)
- if a client calls and their computer is not turning on, what would the troubleshooting process look like for that?
- If you are searching up something in a browser and it shows you an error message (no specific type of error message), what could that be?
- If you have printed something to a printer and the printer has no received the information, what should you do?
- Shown a topology with 2 PCs connected to a Switch's ports through f/a cables.... When PC-A pings PC-B, what will happen and how will the PCs be able to communicate.
Final Interview:
- This is not a technical interview so take a deep breath and relax lol (6-7 questions)
- It is important to stay very relaxed and open in this interview because you are going to be talking about your character
- Tell me about a time where you had to ask a question to a higher up or co-worker and what did you learn from it? (Be very detailed, you'll think they do not want to hear every little detail but they do!)
- When given a task you are unsure of, what steps do you take to complete that task? (they want to know if you are willing to collab with co-workers and ask questions)
- Tell me about a time when your workplace or professional environment went through a change you did not agree with or was unexpected. (Be smart about this answer! I answered when I had to switch from being remote to on-site after COVID)
- Tell me about a time where there was a client or person who was struggling with something, and how did you handle the situation?
- Tell me about a protocol or rule at work that was hard to understand, and how did you adapt to it?
