I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meraki (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter, phone interview with Inside Sales Manager, in person interview with 2 Sales Managers and 2 Sales Directors, and then offer. Each in person interview covered separate topics - culture fit and adaptability; relationship building; sales process and quota achievement; and Meraki history, products and competition. All interviews were 30 minutes and the interviewers were punctual to start and end.
1st call - hiring manager.
2nd step- task (after 1.5 months) translation of one section of their website and one of their newsletters. (Still waiting to hear any feedback considering that I spent my time translating their material for free).
3rd step- call with team leader.
4th step -Round of 5 interviews with the team at Meraki. Team was friendly and I had a great time with them besides from the attitude of one of the interviewers. The downside is that interviews turned to be overwhelming since I had to interview with 5 people during almost 4 hours and there were no breaks scheduled. Any candidate would get mentally exhausted after 5 people bombarding him/her non-stop with lots of behavioural (sometimes repeated and nonsense) questions, but this didn't seem to matter at all despite mentioning it a few times. Besides, no one explained to me the role with clarity and detail, the interviews seemed more like a one way interrogation to check in which question I was going to fail, everyone who interviewed me came preapared with a long list of questions to fill up a whole hour with little room for questions on my side or further conversation and interaction. I followed up after a week of silence and I was told by the recruiter that they were not moving forward for not going deeper in a couple questions.
Thumbs down for Meraki and their interview process, I had higher expectations in regards to their recruiting efficiency and profesionalism as it seems a very good company to work for. They really need to get serious on how they interview candidates and the overall recruiting process which is long and inneficient, (and please stop asking for free translations, there is other ways to test candidates language skills). I've interviewed for many companies and never experienced something like that!
On another note, the recruiter did a great job showing me the offices, coordinating with me and providing feedback.
