First step: In person mixer with about 20 employees at a bar in San Francisco. Pretty cool vibe. Vying for the attention of the managers and other reps. I liked this a lot.
Second step was a phone screening in which I was told I had been green lighted for the next stage, was told that moving forward would be based on enthusiasm and phone competency.
Fast forward 12 days later and a lot of phone tag and voicemails. Finally got a hold of the hiring manager to hear that they are not going to move me forward to the next stage even though they said they would. A quick email would have sufficed.
My interviewer was sick at home when he gave me the phone screening, which seemed ridiculous. Phone screening was super lame, I was prepared to offer a lot, but he stopped me right at the beginning and said "This is for phone competency and enthusiasm which you obviously have... so Ill move you forward to the next stage. What questions do you have for me since we are on the call?" I was bummed, could have been a way more interesting conversation.
Lack of professionalism or consideration of my time or interest in the process.
Definitely a cool company, but definitely a disappointing process.
