I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meta in Sep 2020
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me and asked if I want to apply for a data scientist position at Facebook. And I said yes. He scheduled a time to describe the process which would start with a coding challenge. Later on, they scheduled the coding interview, but a few days later the recruiter contacted me and said I got rejected. I actually got rejected before even I get a chance to start the process. Nonetheless, as the coding interview was already scheduled, I used the link they had sent me to connect to the interviewer, and surprisingly some one was ready to ask me the question. Anyway, I did pretty well in the coding part, but when I sent an email to the recruiter and asked about the outcome of interview, he sent me a template of what they usually send to tell you that you got rejected. It was a very strange and unprofessional type of interview experience.
20 mins Screening call really small talk on your background and give you understanding of the process. Then 45mins technical call for coding. thru codepar I wrote 2 SQL 1 python scripts. But the timing was tight. After that virtual onsite interviews with 4-5 people, some peers some managers.
