I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Jul 2017
Interview
I applied on the Facebook careers website. A recruiter reached out; talked to me about my interests and why I was looking to join Facebook. Followed by this, I had 2 video interviews: one on Product Sense and one on Execution. Each was 45 minutes long. Within 1 day, I was invited to a in-person loop at Menlo Park. I had 3 interviews: Product Sense, Execution and Leadership. Within 1 day, I got a rejection. Please note that Facebook does provide very detailed interview feedback. I had excellent written feedback for the video interview round. I had poor feedback on the in-person Product Sense interview: the interviewer felt that my solutions did not take into consideration the company's mission/vision and objectives. Also note that 4 out of the 5 interviewees were female PMs.
Interview process was fairly straightforward. Recruiters are super helpful in getting you prepared for whats to come. Interviews got scheduled fairly fast, so having the momentum is great. Each interview only lasted about 30 minutes. from start to finish it took about 1 month
A multi-stage interview process that typically includes screening, technical and/or case assessments, and conversations with different stakeholders to evaluate both your skills and how well you’d work with the team and the role.
Multiple rounds across product, engineering, and business leaders. Long cycle and many situational questions..."how would you respond.." many questions about specific prior experiences in handling challenges, frictions, leadership. Be prepared for lengthy process
