      Project Manager Interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Austin, TX) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I have been in the process for exactly one month so far. I got an employee referral which from my understanding doesn't do too much for you except maybe flag your resume to be looked at sooner than applying on your own. I first got a call from a recruiter which was rescheduled 3 times. (yes, three separate times it got pushed back by the recruiter). At first, this was pretty intimidating and defeating but once the call happened, I was relieved because she was SO kind, helpful, informative, and sounded like she really was on my side. She didn't ask a ton of questions- it was very conversational, I did my formal intro for her where i explain my background and "about me". She immediately moved me on to the zoom interview and told me what to expect. she said someone would be reaching out and to go into my career profile and update my availability etc. The initial zoom interview with a hiring manager/team member was also very conversational, laid back, a few behavioral questions were asked that my recruiter prepped me for slightly. I left that interview feeling super confident! There was a lot of back and forth convo, both personalities showed through, etc. The recruiter also pushed me to another round zoom interview for a different job- same title job but different team. So currently am interviewing for 2 different jobs. I had the second zoom interview round and this one wasn't as conversational or laid back. it was much more structured and a little more intimidating. I think this is just the difference in the two interviewers personalities. For this one, I just wasn't able to feel the interviewer out or show my personality much. It was pretty straight forward and just to the point. I haven't heard back to see if I passed/am getting moved onto the final round yet.
