Interview
Pretty basic. Phone screen was relatively easy. Initial portfolio review is solid as long as you demonstrate your design rationale and the impact. I studied and practiced the hell out of app review.
The onsite was the harder one. Portfolio presentation was nerve-wracking but it went well considering the amount of rehearsing. App review was so fun. The thing that got me was the whiteboarding session. I got stuck with coming up with a solution and froze.
I had an initial conversation with a recruiter (product design specific). It was a great discussion covering my experience and journey as a product designer. I got the impression that this was a casual introduction, but also that there would be continued communication. I was disappointed when I didn't hear back from her for a few weeks after I reached out a couple of times.

Interview
I got an email from a recruiter asking if I'd be interested in interviewing with the Reality Labs team. I expressed my interest and we set up a call to chat in more detail. What followed was:
* Exploratory call with the hiring manager
* Follow up call with the recruiter
* 2 hour interview, split into 1 hour with the hiring manager presenting my portfolio (3 projects) and 1 hour with a fellow designer conducting an app review (Google Maps)
* Was declined for the role
* Followed up with the recruiter who gave me feedback via a phone call
