I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Jul 2021
Interview
I had a similar experience as a couple of the other folks. Facebook has a standardized process for interviewing that probably works well as a standardized test for entry level and junior candidates. Where is fails badly is with "experienced" people (fails for the interviewee that is -- it may be a win for Facebook). It makes absolutely no sense for a bunch of junior level employees interview experienced candidate unless the goal is to filter out "experienced" candidates, which is what it really feels like. You would think there would be some questions related to a candidate's background experience but nope, zero.
Secondly, I had the same experience as another in that one of my interviewers had a poor internet connection. Instead of doing the right thing and rescheduling, the interviewer carried on by calling me while my own video was still active. This is completely unprofessional and something an experienced person would know better than to do. It also makes me really question how this person can do their day job without proper internet (with remote work). By the way, of course, the recruiter, who is supposed to be your champion, does nothing about that.

Question 1
Q: How would you measure the impact of a new Facebook onboarding change?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Apr 2020
Interview
I was asked to give a product pitch for something that was not technology. No questions were asked that were related to my background or my specific areas of expertise; this is really odd considering the role required someone with strong skills and knowledge in a very specific domain.

Question 1
The interview seemed largely irrelevant for a very specific role with very specific demands. No tangible questions related to the actual job they were looking to fill were asked. Strangest interview experience ever.
The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Meta (London, England)
Interview
TLDR; A great process, with great people to help along the way, but maybe a little long.
Firstly - don't under-estimate just how long the FB recruitment process is. From initial recruiter conversation to the decision, after the loop my process took just under 3 months.
1- Recruiter screening conversation
2- Product Sense & Execution (same day)
3- Follow-up Interview
4- Full loop - Product Sense, Execution (x2), Leadership & Drive
5- Decision made by hiring board
7 Interviews in total - It's basically a full time role prepping for the interviews.
Overall a very positive experience, the recruiters / co-ordinators are extremely friendly and helpful, and genuinely care about the experience you're having, and are free to chat at any time and answer any questions you have.
Likewise, the interviewers are great and put you at ease. It's a tough process, but to be expected from a FAANG company.
