I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Meta (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2021
Interview
There was a 45min interview with a researcher asking you about how to approach a research question in terms of non-FB app. What research methods to use and why and how to solve the question. The interview ended okay and the recruiter said I was not fit for a mixed but rather for quantitative UX researcher and another researcher talked to me with similar questions but that was the end of the interview

Question 1
How to improve the engagement of a non-FB app?
What research methods you will use and why?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (London, England) in Aug 2019
Interview
Well organized, highly structured, and mostly very friendly. There was someone assigned to chat with me between the sessions on the in-person day. I was surprised though that one person lost their temper (quite unnecessarily) in the interview panel because she had not understood my answer to a question and kept pushing me with a certain question.
Two rounds, didn't pass the second one. The whole process seemed to drag on and my recruiter had to be prodded along to get back to me. The people were generally nice though.

Asked to describe an app, and then conduct a research design to solve a problem with it.
