Microsoft Applied Scientist interview questions

4 rounds total. The interview process is a multi-stage process for hiring new employees. It can include one-on-one, group, or panel interviews that are conducted in person, over the phone, by email, or via video conferencing.

It was initially a quick process, did initial screen with coding and LLM qs, then had 5-hour final round with leetcode medium and lots of behavioral/LLM/system design questions. I got a vague oral offer a few days later (no salary), then got written offer with numbers a week later, and background check finished three weeks later. so I only got my start date four weeks after the initial oral offer. The onboarding process was confusing and poorly organized.
