      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Nov 2025

      Interview

I think I interviewed for a position that didn't actually exist. The HM screen ended after 10 minutes because he was getting pinged on "something urgent." He moved me forward. In retrospect, I think they just needed a warm body to do the full loop and check a box. One of the guys interviewing me was oddly defensive and asked me something along the lines of why I should get the role when some people, including himself, had been in the same organization for 10 years building from the ground up. And advised me not to change things too quickly if I got hired. The most bizarre 5 minutes of my interviewing history. I didn't get an offer. And guess what? A few weeks later that same guy updated his LI saying he'd been promoted to Sr. Director. I think it may have been his role I interviewed for and he was interviewing candidates. Strange and a waste of time.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (London, England) in May 2024

      Interview

First HR interview was cancelled 10 minutes prior to the start time. I was 7-8 times over email to provide new suggested times for a rearranged interview. Every single time, the HR contact did not respond in time, meaning I needed to again provide new time windows. I even put something in their calendar myself at a specific time they had suggested, but they did not turn up. When they asked for yet another time windows for a 9th, I asked to step out of the of the process.
