I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft in Nov 2020
Interview
I submitted my resume online, and a recruiter reached out to me directly and was enthusiastic to speak with me. I scheduled a phone call with her and we spoke for an hour, covering my resume and specific points related to the Director role. The interview was very pleasant and positive, and the recruiter said she expected the team would want to speak with me for the next round. Unfortunately, she reached out a few weeks later to say the hiring team went in a different direction for their loop of interviews.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were very specifically related to the role's job description and examples in my resume of how I achieved those roles (for example, technology development or managing a team).
Normal interview process, nothing out of the ordinary. Process did drag out a little from start until final round. Interviews were well prepared (looked at resume and likely chatted with each other before the interview).
