I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Microsoft in Dec 2020
Interview
4 back to back interviews (Microsoft Teams).
The 3 of them were mixed (behavioral & technical) and the 4th was behavioral only.
Interviewers were very friendly and provided help when required.
Overall very positive experience!

Question 1
Implement addition and multiplication between 2 matrices.
Really easy and chill. Phone call followed by two onsite interviews. Phone interview is super trivial, hardest part is probably getting selected for it. The onsite interviews are lit because they give you a sick food allowance to get room service at the hotel, so you can grab a handle and get busy with the other interviewees over a steak dinner
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Microsoft in Oct 2019
Interview
Reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn, who set up a first round interview with a Microsoft Engineer coming to my college. Interview was kind of wacky, and he didn't ask me questions, I had to bring up my experiences on my own. A couple weeks later got flown out to their Seattle campus for a tour and 2 back to back hybrid technical/behavioral interviews. Coding portion was very manageable. Had a deadline coming up, so they got me a decision in only 3 days. Overall a good experience and had a lot of fun exploring Seattle for a day!
