The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Oct 2014
Interview
I was referred through a friend, then had a few phone screenings. I then had an on-campus interview in Redmond. Overall, the experience was really great. I was interviewed by 4 PM's over the course of one day. Everyone was very supportive. It was very exhausting. Microsoft accommodated a 2 night/ 3 day stay at a hotel near HQ. They also gave the interviewee cohort passes to the Space Needle and a lot of the interns went.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were a mix of technical questions (a version of Mergesort) and non-technical (redesign the shopping experience).
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Microsoft in Jan 2016
Interview
I was told it is a scheduled interview but It was more like a walkin interview at Mumbai office.
The interview was for a project manager but it looked liked the interviewer needed a bookish project manager instead of a real project manager. He asked me all pmbok terminology questions and I was feeling like I am re-apppearing PMP exam.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Microsoft (London, ON) in Oct 2015
Interview
Got an invite for an onsite interview at my college after handing in my application at the career fair. Interview was fairly straightforward, a few behavioural questions, then a technical problem. Overall good experience, except microsoft never contacted me back to tell me if I got it or not.
