I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Microsoft in Sep 2021
Interview
Was referred by someone. Hiring manager reached out for phone interview. Phone interview was completely behavioral for 50 mins. Was informed to move to next round within 2 days. But the next round was scheduled 2 weeks later. Scheduling delays. 5 rounds of interview. 2 technical and 3 behavioral. One of the interviewers asked me to explain something challenging i have faced, when I explained, he was like what the hell is challenging in this. Maybe it was supposed to be a stress interview but my confidence was shaken up a bit by that. Overall went well. Would give 4/5. But I was strung along for more than a month with ghosting from recruiter and finally got a reject. Microsoft is such a good company but I fail to understand why after repeated feedback about how much their recruiters suck, they don’t do anything to improve it.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Microsoft
Interview
Reached out to HM via LinkedIn, got a phone screen, and failed.
It's a non-tech program manager, but I got a system design round. So it's 45mins, including BQ, system design, and some basic information.
I'm not pretty sure if it is a normal process.
