Interview
I attended the initial phone screen which I came to know I cleared after two weeks. Then they called me for one full day interview after two months. On interview day, I had seven back to back rounds of interviews. Almost everyone asked the same questions except the last managerial and first managerial round. All the interviewing panel carried the pride of the company brand and they clearly showed off that they are smarter by asking a lot of coding algorithms. It appeared that they never used those algorithms in their day to day tasks. And of course, all the interview panel were desi guys. Obviously, they acted over smart by showing their extra preparation for the interview. They do not even know the basic concept of giving breaks between interview rounds. In the end, the manager interview clearly showed that their work culture is bureaucratic. They don't like someone who asks too many questions.

Interview
Having interviewed for a SDE role in the US prior I expected a similar level of professionalism especially from the likes of Microsoft, however this was not the case.
I was approached to take a online interview/technical screening which went well, I correctly answered two coding challenge questions no problem. However there was a network related question which I found quite odd as the job description didn't call for any of that type of knowledge, I was upfront but answered as best I could (and in all honestly I checked the question against my answers later and I wasn't actually that far off).
After the interview there was basically no contact from the recruiter(Philippines based) unless I prodded constantly for feedback/result of the interview, and even then he would only try offload to someone else.
I finally got some feedback after clicking the "Contact Recruiter" button on the Action Center page and surprise surprise it went to someone local who told me I failed due to the network question (again, not on the JD).

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in May 2020
Interview
Contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The first screening test was on codility, two technical interviews (with tech lead and manager respectively) to be followed by an AA interview, the manager of the group I interviewed for. All three interviewers shown great interest in my previous work, in my background, and in me in general.
Unlike processes in other FAANGM companies, the atmosphere was laid back and supportive.
The interviewers (all three of them) were modest, and I always felt they're talking to me in a great amount of respect. Each interview ended with a *fair* amount of time pitching me in to the team.
I Felt very welcomed and respected throughout the process.
When that fell on the right side, an HR representative contacted me to start dealing with the details of the offer.
