I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Jun 2021
Interview
Recruiter reached me because they said my profile is very good. After talking with the tech recruiter which was very nice and good I found out that my experience is very related, similar tech stack, I had some experience with the challenges they have and their upcoming projects, have very related experience, both me and the recruiter was positive. Then it gets to the coding challenge, the question was very leetcody, when i saw the question I recognized the algorithm we can solve it. but I told them last time I did that was like 4 years ago, and I don’t remember the algorithm and said if I faced that I would just google the algorithm, and the interview was very bad as I was surprised and very not motivated to continue, I even didnt start coding until 10 minutes before the end.
i don’t know the reason of such questions, how is that relative to my experience and even their current challenge as a company. instead of asking me questions about their stack, tools or architecture which is very similar to what I know!!!
I really was not excited about the company anyway specially they have policy to work from office 3 days and they don’t support fully remote working, despite that their product specially for remote working (ironic).
But I am more furious about these type of interviews which just some companies try to copy FANG process without even understanding!
Slow but transparent. At each stage, it was clear what to expect. Hard process but worth it if you want to this type of company. Be prepared with the classic study material (cracking coding interview, STAR, etc.)
I applied online. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam)
Interview
Standard hiring pipeline. Algorithmic question, system design and then project deep dive.
The people I met during the interview were really intelligent and insightful, the recruitment team was subpar.
I would definitely reinterview but am wary of their recruitment team. After having twice experienced poor communication from them.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Oct 2023
Interview
Overall the whole procedure is very clear and the recruiter is supportive. Every interview had a good setup and I was feeling comfortable.
In the end I recieved a notice, that I will get an offer and was informed what that offer is going to be. The only con here is that the process took 1.5 month.
But this is where everything went wrong.
Recruiter disappeared for 2 weeks and then called with bad news, that the role is put down and they hire for it no more. They said, that there is another 2 roles in 2 other teams and I will have one more interview with the team. I thought it's going to be just a formal interview, but the teams said I don't pass technically, which is ridiculous, because I already passed 2 other technical interviews.
Recruiter told me, that I'm going to be a priority as soon as other roles are going to appear. But so far more than 10 roles appear and noone reached me. I tried to apply again and also wrote to recruiter twice and nothing happened. So basically this is a complete chaos of a company and if you don't want to waste your time like this, just avoid it.
