Worst interview experience ever with the recruiter. He didn't seem engaging and interested in talking and learning about my background right from the beginning, which made the interview experience very awkward and uncomfortable. He didn't show any energy or knowledge about the role other than what's in the JD. Feels like he was doing the interview for the sake of phone call KPI or sth. Don't contact the candidate and waste their time if you don't see a fit. Think he should be experienced enough to know that the recruiter represents the company and unfortunately he made a really bad one.
Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry you felt you had a poor experience. Our #1 goal is to provide an excellent candidate experience. This singular belief is more valuable than any metric we would measure and we do not have phone call KPIs. Apologies if you thought we wasted your time, and I wish you only the best in your next chapter.
I applied online. I interviewed at MuleSoft (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Applied through university's carrier board.
Received a link within two weeks with coding questions to be solved.
The time limit was around one hour.
It was one of those online coding environments.
Questions were based on tree traversal, specifically on binary trees.
You need to be quick with your code and make sure that test cases are properly taken care of.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
I was approached by recruiter from AmplifyHire and after few back-n-forth, I had my phone interview with QA director. The phone screen was to know my experience and culture fit, also for making sure the job fits as per my career aspirations. After the phone screen, within 2-4 days I was informed by recruiter that they'd like me come for in-person interview.
The in person interview consisted of,
- Skype screen from Buenos Aires team member judging QA skills and experience
- Working session with QA to solve and design test cases for REST API using any tool I prefer
- Interview with Architect, involving ETL design and debugging issues & then 3 puzzles
After the in-person interview I was approached by the Recruiter to inform the panel selected me. Next set of process would be interview with VP of Engineering and then with CEO.
- I stopped by in person for the interview with VP of Engieering, the interview involved designing REST api and cultural fit.
- I had skype interview with CEO and it was great talking to him. The CEO was direct with all the questions and assessed me for culture fit and assessing my career aspirations.
