Easy and straightforward interview. I was interviewed by two people and it was pretty formal, but by the end it was more of a casual conversation with each other.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Houston, TX) in Jan 2019
Interview
Went through a placement program. I applied in December, was reached out to by a recruiter to help find out what locations/positions were the best fit for me. Did not reach out or answer calls for a month. Was put in contact with another regional recruiter who kept telling me that no manager has gotten around to reviewing my resume yet because they were too busy. This went on for a few months. Finally recieved offer in May for a position on the other side of the country, two weeks before the start date. From applying to job to receiving offer took ~6 months.
