I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (McLean, VA) in May 2013
Interview
There was a phone screening interview with HR, followed by a face to face on site interview. The interviews didn't last long, and there seemed to be more of a focus on making sure my online application was in order as supposed to anything else
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Sep 2016
Interview
Had one interview in a room with three people. The interview probably lasted around 20 minutes and was relatively easy/laid back. It was mostly just questions based on my resume and behavioral questions.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2017
Interview
I received an invitation to interview through my school's career center. After I was scheduled for an interview, I was asked to attend a dinner with the hiring team the night before the interview was supposed to happen. It was fantastic, the dinner really helped me feel comfortable with the hiring manager and software engineers that I was supposed to meet with the next day. The interview itself was very relaxed; I was interviewed by a hiring manager and one software engineer. We discussed the projects listed on my resume and there were no technical questions other than being asked for extra details about said projects. It was actually decided during the interview that I probably wouldn't be a good fit for their department based on my lack of AI experience, but I still left feeling great about the whole interview experience. Two days later, I received a follow up email confirming that I was no longer going to be considered.
