I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman
Interview
I was interviewed by two people. I basically talked about the experiences on my resume. I got a call about an offer, but they low-balled me about $20K lower than my current salary. Other companies were able to offer me about $10K to $15K more than my current salary. I kindly declined the offer. I suggest salary increases for potential employees. Software engineers in this area are highly sought after and other companies will most likely offer higher salaries.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Palmdale, CA)
Interview
Aside from being a lengthy process, overall it was a positive one. I was first contacted via LinkedIn and was encouraged to apply for position within the company. Shortly after I was contacted by a recruiter who then set up a phone interview with the hiring manager, which went well. I was then scheduled to fly out to meet the hiring managers in Palmdale which again went well. The final process is where it did not go as well, aside from being informed one way or another regarding the position, I was contacted once after the face to face interview asking if I was still interested (I was) then from that point on, several months passed by without any further contact. I had to find out that I was not in the final pool of applicants online several months later.

Interview
They told me about the company and the process and the logistics involved in the deployment. They also described that this was their first deployment, so they expected that there would be overruns and delayed schedules throughout the entire deployment process. I explained that this would not be a problem for me, I could handle delays without hesitation.
