I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Suffolk, VA) in Nov 2015
Interview
I complete online application that I found via a search on the company website, then was contacted by recruiter via email, who set up a phone interview with manager. The manager called me at the agreed time and asked me about myself and asked my about my relevant experience. Very casual and not stressful.

Interview
Applied online and first had a phone interview with 2 people on the line. They went over what they did at Northrop, then asked about my background and experience, followed up by some behavioral questions and very easy technical questions. Then I was brought in on site in Rolling Meadows for a panel interview with 5 engineers plus the hiring manager. More of the same. Just drilled into my experiences and projects I worked on, more behavioral questions and some light technical questions. Didn't have to write code or do a design or anything. Entire process from submitting my application to receiving an offer was 1 month. However my offer came the next day after my panel interview.

Interview
There were 2 rounds of interviews, the first round felt more behavioral. It didn't seem like they were looking for much, and if you got to the second interview, you basically got the job.
