The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman
Interview
The selection processes may differ from position-to-position, but seemed designed to effectively match an individual’s knowledge, skills, interests, and experiences to those needed for this position. We discussed my qualifications and previous experiences in person. Then the Hiring Manager and Human Resource Team made a decision for the position.

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
The interview was primarily devoted to drawing static force diagrams on engineering drawings to test intuition of structural engineering. In general the interview was extremely intense. Those I have spoken to who interviewed with the same manager say he takes every opportunity to put you at unease, which is in perfect conformance to my experiences.

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
I applied online through their jobs website. A few months later, I received an email for an online interview. This interview was 5 preset questions(unknown before the interview) that I had 2 minutes each to answer. I could re-record my answer a limited number of times. After passing this interview, I was invited to the physical location for an interview. A few weeks passed (or a few months) before I got a call stating that I was offered a paid internship position.
