I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Norwalk, CT) in Oct 2011
Interview
I had multiple interviews once an offer was made I had to go through a very thorough background check, drug and physical examination. Interviews were very relaxed and everyone was very nice just wished it did not take so long.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied online and received a call from a recruiter. After a few general questions (salary range, etc) she set me up with a 3 person panel telephone interview the following week. They asked a lot of job specific questions, and very few "standard" interview questions. I was as prepared as I could have been, but a lot of questions and desired qualifications were not listed in the job description.
I felt pretty good after the interview, but didn't hear back from them or the recruiter. After a few days, I checked the application site and found my status had changed to "no longer under consideration". It seems a common trend for
Companies to not inform you if you didn't get the job, even though a simple email would do.
Oh well.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Annapolis, MD)
Interview
I presented my graduate school work to a team of engineers and managers. Then I interviewed in 1-on-1's. It was clear they are technically strong. Management was competent too with a lot of experience. They seemed able to deal with development and production at the same time.
