Four 1 hour interviews. I was asked basic and technical questions, also free lunch. The technical questions were in many cases very vague and they would not elaborate making it difficult to give them an answer they seemed to want. They would just keep repeating the question.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman
Interview
interview was easy, talked about the stuff on my resume and my interests. didn't hear back since my interests didn't match up with the interviewer's. interviewer was also a software engineer.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Baltimore, MD) in Nov 2018
Interview
It was 15 minutes and very easy. We didn't go over technical questions, mainly just software engineering principle topics, workflow, communication skills, etc. It was very laid back and I got a sense that they were looking for someone who is a good team member with social and technical skills and has a good understanding of software principles/design.
