I applied for this position on May 14, 2025. Aside from the generic "thank you for applying for this role" and the weekly job alert digest they send out, I've received ZERO communication from them about the status of my application. I've been tracking my job applications, so every once in a while I would log onto Oracle's portal to check my status. As of August 21, 2025, my job application was still "Under Consideration". The next time I logged onto their portal, November 18, 2025, I saw that my status was changed to "Not Retained". Sometime between August 21, 2025, and November 18, 2025, my status was changed, but did they email me notifying me that I was no longer being considered for this role? No.
I realistically assumed after a couple of months that I wasn't moving forward, but the lack of any communication still stings. Especially with all the time and energy I put into tailoring my resume and cover letter.
The thing that stings the worst is that I actually heard a lot of good things about this company, and was excited about possibly getting the chance to work for them. Not anymore.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was no interview. This review reflects the application and communication experience only.
Prescreen, then screening, then super day with two interviews. Overall not bad. First real interview is 2 coding questions. Super day has one coding interview with a hard question. Prescreen is easy and they want you to pass. Super day depends on your interviewer for difficulty.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (Melbourne) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview includes a technical screening and an interview loop of 5 interviews. The technical screening includes questions to short answers. The interview loop includes three coding interviews and two sections of behavioural questions.
