I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Oracle in Dec 2024
Interview
I started the interview process through a really good recruiter the communication was instant we very good description of the Role. The second technical interview was a screening one with the interviewer being arrogant. The live coding process was not right prepared I had to start fixing the compilation errors before the interviewer stopped telling me it is incomplete.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (Bengaluru) in Dec 2024
Interview
I recently had the opportunity to interview with Oracle for a software engineer. The process began with a detailed two-hour first-round interview, which I felt went well, and I was subsequently informed about a second round. However, just before the second round, I received a notification from the hiring manager stating that the position was no longer being filled, and the interview was canceled.
While I understand that business needs and hiring plans can change, I believe such decisions should be communicated before candidates invest significant time and effort in the interview process. It was disappointing to dedicate time and energy to the preparation, only to learn that the role was no longer available.
I would recommend that Oracle consider improving communication in such situations to respect candidates' time and effort. Despite this experience, I appreciate the opportunity to engage with the team and wish Oracle the best in its future endeavors.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (Austin, TX) in Nov 2024
Interview
3 rounds, last round was a loop interview of 4 hour long interviews. Every single interview involved a coding exercise. I had to take a fake sick day from my current job to do the loop interview.
Even after all that, they just gave me an automated rejection message. When I reached out to the recruiter asking for feedback, I got no response.
I don't appreciate companies that treat me like my time is worthless.
