I applied online. I interviewed at PTC (Paris) in Dec 2024
Interview
I applied for a Channel Account Manager position at PTC. The candidate experience was disappointing. I went through 11 different interviews, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour, with various stakeholders. The entire process took over 3 months.
I completed a business case and received excellent feedback from those present. However, at the end of the process, during the final interview, the last person wasn't "100% convinced," resulting in a rejection.
While I'm frustrated, I'm more concerned about the inefficiency of the procedures and the lack of clarity in the established KPIs. The evaluation process seems highly subjective.
Pros:
Thorough evaluation process
Opportunity to showcase skills through a business case
Cons:
Excessively long hiring process (3+ months)
Too many interviews (11 in total)
Lack of clear evaluation criteria
Final decision based on subjective opinion rather than overall performance
Inefficient use of candidates' and employees' time
Advice to Management:
Streamline your hiring process to respect candidates' time and improve efficiency. Establish clear, objective evaluation criteria to ensure fair assessments. Consider the collective feedback from all interviewers rather than relying on a single opinion for the final decision.
There are 3 rounds of interview. In the first round they asked me all OOPS concepts and 1 coding questions. Q was Reverse the array. Then they said we will announce the result of 1st round and i cleared and appeared for 2nd intw round. 1st was taken by their team and 2nd was by their senior members and 3rd by HR. In 2nd round, there were 2 people. And the questions from the projects and database and connectivity.
