I applied through college or university. I interviewed at PTC in Jul 2021
Interview
It was an on-campus opportunity to join as an Intern for me. The process was quite easy and comfortable for me. As due to the pandemic the interviews were online. They analyzed me on my DSA and OOPS skills.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was only one interview for me which was basically Technical + HR. For the technical domain, they asked me following question:
1) OOPs principles
2) Two DSA questions - one was to reverse the string and the other was to check whether a string is a palindrome.
3) Two-three questions on SQL and told me to write a query to find the second maximum salary in the table.
4) 1-2 HR questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PTC (Pune) in Feb 2022
Interview
Initial Interview followed by more managerial rounds. Role description was unclear. Managerial Round started with negging, saying she thought she was going to interview a PHD. In my opinion, it is better to ask the interviewer for their credentials as well. Then started with unrealistic instantaneous intelligence type problems: didn't even come up with original ones. One technical question for an experienced role: reverse a number using recursion, I lost interest, couldn't solve. Then she asked 9th grade geometry proof which also I couldn't remember. It was a disappointing experience, seeing people interviewing for higher roles are not prepared well, and seem like having delusions of brilliance.

Question 1
- Mislabeled jars problem
- Easy questions on pointer manipulation/output
- Reverse a number using recursion
- Prove angle subtended by diameter is 90 degrees
Smooth process. Recruiter was so great and kept me updated at every step of the process. Very open to conversation and easy to speak to. I felt like I was never guessing as to status of the next meeting.
