I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PepsiCo in Jun 2013
Interview
The initial phone interview is like most initial contacts. The interviewer will verify the position, salary, hours to be worked, full time/part time status, benefits, etc. It is to make sure the applicant understands what they are really applying for. Also, the interviewer will ask about previous employment to get a sense if the applicant has any kind of experience dealing with the realities that is actually working for Frito Lay. If the phone interview goes well, they will ask you in for an inperson interview. This might be with one, two or three people at the same time. That was a little intimidating, but they were very nice. There goal is to hire a person to fill a need they have. They want nothing more than for you to be great! But, they will ask questions geared toward your work ethic and previous experience. If this interview goes well, they may offer you a position conditional upon passing a background check and drug screen.

Question 1
Nothing was difficult. I would say that it was detailed because they take care in hiring the best people for the positions available.

Interview
I had two interviews. I learned about an opening from a friend and applied online as soon as it was posted. I met with the hiring manager and his counterpart and the warehouse supervisor to get a feel for the group and they told me about the position and asked me a lot of questions. The next interview included a tour of the facility and some of the other employees, which I appreciated. It let me know more about the culture.

Question 1
There weren't any difficult questions. It's a bunch of good ol' boys so you need to be prepared for blatant honesty (no passive aggressive office politics here), Values (you won't fit in if you're a snake or dishonest), and some fun (you need to let loose and relax, office pranks and jokes make the day shorter).
1. Phone interview. 2. Panel Interview.
Kind of straightforward interview questions. Talk about your experience and how/what you will bring into the organization. Questions about Ethical behavior, behavioral and academic knowledge.
