I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PepsiCo in May 2011
Interview
I applied through my university career center. I received a call 2 weeks later for a phone interview. The phone interview consisted of behavioral questions, and going through resume. After that, I was scheduled for an in-person interview. The in-person interview was with 2 groups of 2 interviewers. It was mainly behavioral questions and going into more details about the experiences on my resume.

Question 1
Describe a situation when you had more than one project due, and you couldn't meet the deadline. How did you face the problem?
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2009
Interview
Campus interview - then site interview meeting with 5 different managers - some talked more about the company and did not ask questions while others asked very technical questions or some philosophical questions regarding hourly employees. After job offer, there was a pretty good onboarding process that has since been abandoned. Today, it more or less - sink or swim. Limited onboarding, little formal training beyond technicians.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PepsiCo (Purchase, NY) in May 2011
Interview
I must say that everyone I met were every nice and pleasant. The interview took 4 hours give or take. It was a series of one on one interviews starting from the VP, Director, Manager, etc. Almost all questions were situational ("tell me about the time when...") questions.
Overall, I had a great experience, however, it took them almost a month to get back to you for the result. The like taking their time.
