I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Philips (Bothell, WA) in Sep 2018
Interview
Professional, pleasant and efficient. Recruiting and the hiring managers were all great, timely and effective communicators and stewards in the process and reflected very well on the company. The process felt typical for this type of position and company, including multiple phone screens leading to a full-day onsite interview loop. Everyone involved was friendly, open, professional, and clearly satisfied with their employment situation. Everyone shared a vision of improving people's lives with innovation, tangible human benefits of the technology were a theme. Slightly unusual were (1) the ask to prepare and deliver a presentation to a small group to kick off the interview loops, and (2) an expectation that I was able and willing to self-educate in advance, short-notice, on a new-to-me web-meeting software; neither was excessively off-putting personally, but I would expect that for some other interviewers, especially those already employed, the stack-up of time investment gets close to burdensome as it moves beyond a full day and into multiple days. Other than that, the interviewing process was a true pleasure start to finish and a bit surprising in the level of quality given the size of the corporation. I left the interview excited and hopeful of joining.
