I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Primark (Reading, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
I was headhunted on Linkedin by the HR team, I had a phone conversation and this just one interview with 1 from HR and the 2 buyers, you are asked to do a 10 minute SWOT on a certain product type for 10 minutes then it is questions manly about yourself, your experience. I heard back and got some really great constructive feedback. Very friendly!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A lot about yourself, why are you the best person for the role.
Make sure you know the power of how to influence people. How do you go about proving you are right? What happens if people ignore your suggestions and how do you convince them?
Assistant Buyers have a lot of responsibility it seems at Primark too so mack sure you show you are capable to handle large departments.
Het gesprek was erg formeel, veel vragen. Geen echt gesprek maar echt een interview gevoel. Geen persoonlijk contact. Vooraf niet heel duidelijk wat de bedoeling was. Ik kreeg geen warm gevoel.
Very static, official and like routine work: interviewers were kind and attentive. Overal okay experience, presentation had to be given. Long process. It was okay. Be prepared to answer in a very static way.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Primark (Reading, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
Applied online with general application form, I was contacted a while after and was told I had passed the first stage and that I will need to prepare a SWOT analysis and present it at the Interview in Reading, I was also told that there would be a maths test and that is the reason I did not get the job. It turns out the maths test was very difficult including percentages and fractions, a spelling test and many spreadsheets to analyse.
