Interview
I applied online and was phoned the same day to come for a interview. The interview went well, it was a 1 to 1 interview in a relaxed environment. Standard questions. Make sure you appear interested.
Was told the other day I got the job.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Primark (Edinburgh, Schottland) in Jul 2017
Interview
The process took a week overall and was a very fast and pleasant experience.
Firstly I applied online and completed a questionnaire that took about 15 minutes and consisted of situational questions. I got an email a few days later (Wednesday) to invite me to a 1-1 interview the following Saturday.
After reading the other interview experiences here on Glassdoor I felt prepared and I also done some research on the company, which definitely helped. They asked all the questions that I had seen on here.
When I arrived on the Saturday I arrived 10 minutes early and was seated in the staff room/kitchen area. I was supposed to have an interview with one of the managers but she ended up running late and so I had it with another manager who took my documentation and let me into the interview room. He was really nice and it was more of an informal chat than anything. He told me the first part of the interview was confirming availability, travel and basic info. Then we went into the questions part and 4 where to do with me and my skills, and then 2 or 3 where situations.
The interviewer had a chat with me at the end and told me I had done really well and was one of the best! I was super happy with the outcome and I definitely felt more relaxed.
The next day (Sunday) I got a call offering me the job with my induction this coming Thursday ! :)
My advice; Relax! Be yourself and do research, if you show your love for Primark and the work they do it should definitely go well!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Primark (Walsall, England) in Oct 2015
