I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Primark (London, England) in Aug 2014
Interview
Very straight forward. You first Meet a supervisor, who will ask you for your passport and NI number, then you are asked to fill in a form with your details and your preferences about the time you would like to work. At last the supervisor will ask you 5 simple questions such as why did you apply for this job or tell me about a previous experience where you had to solve a problem
Short interview just going over your cv and asked questions to do with scenarios in store and how you deal with customers. Didn't take very long but then didn't hear back in the specified time and had to chase up a decision. Then had a group training day where they went over the contract and the basic roles in store and assigned us to an area.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Primark in Sep 2014
Interview
I applied online in August 2014 by filling out a questionnaire. I received an email about a week later inviting me to an interview five days later. The interview itself had quite a relaxed feel to it, and the interviewer was very nice. I was asked some general questions such as 'tell me something interesting about yourself' before being asked four questions. These are tailored around whether your experience, which means you're not disadvantaged if you haven't worked in retail before as the questions are directed around other areas (such as experiences in education). At the end of the interview I was told some details about uniform, pay etc before being told I would know whether I was successful or not by the following week. However, I didn't hear back until almost three weeks later, when I received an email with my contracted hours and induction details. I had accepted another offer of employment in the meantime, otherwise I would have taken the job as I got a really good impression at the interview.
