Perhaps it was because I was a Masters student, with the necessary 150 credits to sit for the CPA exam under my belt, but my interview contained no technical questions. We conversed normally about experiences and getting to know each other in general. I received an offer (contingent upon my successful graduation) the same day. In this context, my resume spoke for itself, though I would like to state that my Bachelors GPA was short of 3.5, so my additional educational pursuits, people skills, and diligence really carried me a long way.
