I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PwC in Aug 2010
Interview
Overall I had a very pleasant experience with the interview process (surprisingly). The interviews mainly consisted of the typical personality / situational / give me an example of time you demonstrated _____ skill. The interviewers were friendly and gave prompt responses as to whether they wanted you for the next round. I found the quick response time very nice as some of the other big 4 firms took months to get back to me.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PwC (Peking, Peking) in Dec 2009
Interview
The interview consists of 2 parts, group discussion and partner interview.
The interview has little relationship with accounting or audit because PricewaterhouseCoopers lays less emphasis on your education background than other accounting firms.
Never to be too aggressive and remember to leave your group members time to show themselves.
