I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PwC (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2021
Interview
Answered some basic questions during call with recruiter. I mentioned my salary range.
Recruiter proceeded to help line up three 30-minute back to back interviews with various PwC employees. The interviews were too rigid and not conversational for even one of them. They didn’t talk much about PwC or what their department does. One of the interviewers seemed like they didn’t want to be on the call. I basically had no time to ask any questions because of the poor structure of the interviews… None of the interviewers replied to my email where I asked some questions I didn’t get a chance to ask during the calls.
I was given an offer that was below my stated salary range and not competitive with other offers I received from competing firms. I am not sure why they even proceeded with the interviews if they knew they couldn’t afford to pay my stated salary.
I get that you’re a Big 4 but this was one of the worst interview experiences I’ve ever had. You can’t assume someone will work for you simply based on your name. Put more effort into telling us why we should work for you and show more engagement during interviews. I had a very busy work day but took 1.5 hours out to do these interviews thinking it would be a good and illuminating experience but it wasn’t at all. Be transparent about salaries instead of wasting people’s time.

The interview process was very well run. The interviewers took the time to explain the role and expectations for the position. Asked standard interview questions. They explained what they do as well
