      Subcontract Administrator Interview

      Feb 7, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RTX in Jul 2017

      Interview

The hiring manager requested that I call him to further discuss my resume. He then arranged an in person interview for 2 weeks later. I had to provide my fingerprints before I could go to the interview room. The hiring manager led me to a conference room, where another gentleman was sitting at a laptop next to the stack of resumes of potential candidates. The hiring manager asked me to give examples of times where I had to deal with conflict or negotiate. Since I worked for a small contractor, I didn’t encounter many of the issues that a large facility would and was unable to provide the answers he was looking for. The other gentleman would pipe in ever so often. I do believe the hiring manager meant well & even offered me advice as I was leaving, but it was frustrating realizing at the interview that they clearly wanted someone with more experience & it was a waste of both of our times as I was probably in the facility close to 2 hours. The only reason I’m inclined to state it was a negative experience was due to me not having what they were looking for in the first place and it being an overall waste of time. I am in no way deterred from applying to this company in the future.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RTX (Huntsville, AL) in Jun 2017

      Interview

I was asked multiple questions about my background, previous job experience, how I would handle specific situations and questions about my personality. I had a phone interview then was asked to come in for an in-person interview. I interviewed with 3 Raytheon employees and they each asked me multiple questions. It was a very comfortable atmosphere and they explained the position and the company in length.
