I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in May 2019
Interview
They put us up in a nice hotel, but there were a lot of candidates for several different jobs. The first day there was a mandatory networking session, where we got to meet several different working groups.
The next day was interviews with several different teams of interviewers. They asked about my experience and schooling, making sure they were relevant to the type of work they wanted me to do. I interviewed with two teams, one seemed a bit adversarial, and the other was quite pleasant.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What question do you wish we had asked you already?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX
Interview
2 people face to face with a mixture of personality and technical questions
It was semi formal but very interactive
The interviewers were attentive and generally made me relaxed
They took request notes and responded clearly to all my questions
The interview timings were very punctual and they were clear at the end summarising next steps
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Woburn, MA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Stared off with phone screen, then in-person interview with multiple hiring managers at the table asking typical work experience question and typical interview type question. The interview was great and everyone seemed pleasant and enthusiastic. Thanked me for my time and said they want additional personnel to talk with me. The additional folks never happened but the in-house recruiter basically said I had the job and hoping to get an offer by end of the week but needed 1 more phone interview with the director of the hiring manager. Had the call with the director, asked BS interview questions about passion, what you want out of work, ect... Received the call from the recruiter after the weekend stating that I didn't get the job. No reasons given. Sent email to hiring manager asking for feedback and no response. Spoke to another in-house recruiter that I met at a job fair and he said he would find out. After a call, he said everything in the system showed that I was exceptional and a hiring candidate but no reason for being turned down. He said he would get to the bottom of it but after a few follow up calls, never got the reasons or a call back. He mentioned that I should also apply for other positions...all denied. There is absolutely no transparency in their hiring process which says who knows what you're getting into!!!!
