I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Dec 2018
Interview
Went to a hiring event in Palmdale, CA. Talked to a bunch of people from the various departments at RMS in Tucson. I got invited to another, bigger hiring event in Tucson. They flew me and a few other guys from my school out, put us up in a REALLY nice resort in Starr Valley and had some cool events planned out.
Sunday was arrival day and check-in, if you so please.
Monday was more check-in days, security clearance advice seminar, relocation advice, a factory tour and lastly, a networking event. This networking event is VERY important. This is the chance you have to meet the hiring managers in your department and mingle with more and convince them that you deserve to interview with them. I went into this event with an interview with the manufacturing engineers. I came out with 2 additional interviews after that night. I ended up accepting an offer with a completely different department that aligned more with my degree and my passion. The interview with that department was a result of the networking session.
Monday was interview day. Put on your best face, be yourself, be happy, portray a passion for what you do and show off projects! The interviews were often friendly conversations in the end.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
How have you handled working with difficult or isolated people before?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Boston, MA) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied to a large pool of positions in the Greater Boston area in Electrical, Software, or Systems Engineering. After a few weeks I was invited to a two day "Hiring Invitational" in Boston which I think is Raytheons way of consolidating the recruiting process. If you're invited to this you are almost guaranteed a position.
The first day is a welcome breakfast, followed by lunch and some presentations, a tour of the Andover manufacturing facility, and then a networking meet and greet with hiring managers and other employees.
Second day is really only the morning where you will have your interviews with the directorates that want to talk to you. You may have one or two already scheduled for the morning but you can easily pick up additional interviews at the networking event the night before.
After its all done you'll hear within a week about offer(s).
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell us about the school or internship project you liked the most?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Oct 2017
Interview
Very smooth and professional. One 15 minute over the phone interview and got me into a hiring event. Got the opportunity to interview with 5 more groups within Raytheon and got two offers at the end of the day. Outstanding flow throughout the process. Once you get into the hiring event, almost guaranteed you got the job. The screening is very well done though, so don't feel complacent once you get on the hiring event.
