I applied online. I interviewed at RTX (Baltimore, MD) in Nov 2018
Interview
Interviewers were engaging and allowed the interviewee to market themselves. The job description and/or requirements were clearly outlined. All questions were relevant and straightforward. I appreciated the entire interview process. Well done!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explaining job responsibilities, job expectations, job specific requirements.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RTX (Chantilly, VA) in May 2016
Interview
Two round interview.
First round seemed to be general personality and resume skimming.
Second round was from an engineer not associated with your work site asking random questions. Most of the questions were not technical, but describing different work scenarios and how I would respond.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (Goleta, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Got asked to do an on-sight interview with panel of 5 firmware engineers after meeting a recruiter a week earlier. The interviewers didn't seem like they had prepared anything and simply asked questions off the top of their heads. Plenty of awkward silence while I waited for them to think of questions. They had me do 2-page worksheet with simple waveform/timing questions. Whole thing last a little over an hour. One guy just sat there the whole time looking down. Just seemed like a awkward group of guys in general. I think it was clear by the end of the interview that it was not going to work out, but they took me out to lunch afterwards anyway, which was regrettable.
