Interview
I applied and received a phone call 3 weeks later asking to set 30 minutes for a phone interview later that week. Phone interview went well. It was with a senior manager. At the end he said he’d call me within the day to set up an in person interview. The in person was with a mid level manager. It was very relaxed and wasn’t really intimidating at all. She said they’d make decisions in a week. Received offer within 4 days. Good overall experience. Very calm experience
I applied online. I interviewed at RTX (El Segundo, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
No phone screen, just called for a face-to-face interview with the hiring managers. Pretty standard interview with 2 managers and 2 members from their teams. They were interviewing the same pool of candidates for 2 open positions so each manager had slightly different questions. It was a pretty relaxed conversation with basic interview questions (past experiences, computer skills, etc).

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at RTX in Apr 2016
Interview
Received a phone call, scheduled an interview with a hiring manager, had the phone interview, had another interview with the director a few weeks later. There were some delays due to important people being on vacation, so I am sure the process is normally shorter. I was offered the position and started about 3 weeks after the offer was received.
