Phone interview with a hiring person in New Jersey who knew nothing about the large Canadian companies I had worked for. She asked what Canadian Tire was (really?). Once you passed the telephone interview, you moved onto an in-person interview. The person who interviewed me did not asked any standardized interview questions. He dived right in and asked how I would create a strategy to sell its products on Amazon. He was clearly after specific answers in his mind, which he wasn’t getting from me. He would ask the same thing in 5 different ways and kept hammering me about which KPIs to use and specific marketing strategies. After 50 minutes, the VP came in and asked me a few questions. He seemed very uninterested and rushed his portion of the interview.

there was one phone screening with HR and followed by another online interview with two line managers, most of the questions were behavioral questions, asking about your background and see if you are a good fit for this position
