      Senior SharePoint Consultant Interview

      Aug 18, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at SADA in May 2017

      Interview

All interview rounds were telephonic and Skype based. I was interviewed by Tech lead, project lead, Director, VP and CTO. Interview experience was average as there wasn't any challenging questions asked and the pattern followed for technical interview was just to ask textbook questions and expect a textbook response. I got answers from VP, and CTO (last interview) right after the call that they felt positive and so I was expecting a positive response. What I got was; that "the position has been put on hold for couple of months and they'll get back to me when it does". After couple of days I saw the recruiter posting the job opening again on linked in. I double checked about the re-opening and I was told they don't know which was a pure lie. I felt like after giving 5 interviews and having interviewed with higher management, this output was just a waste of time and lies.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Since it was in may, I don't remember much questions. First round was around more of how well I understood SharePoint. Ques: One thing you found more interesting about SharePoint? Ques: One thing that you'd want to change in SharePoint? Other questions around SharePoint as a product and its capabilities.

      Question 2

Technical Round with tech lead. 3 minutes after the interview, interviewer had to leave the room because he hadn't booked it. It was a skype interview and upon reconnecting he decided to stop his video while mine was still on. He said it's fine, let's continue like this. Honestly, I should have stopped my video as well as this felt like somebody is staring at you all the time while you can only hear them. Takes your focus away. Coming to the questions, He told me upfront the position is for someone with SPO experience and I had worked with SPO in 2014, considering the changes SPO has been since then, it is not countable. one question I remember, Q1: Company A acquired company B, now Company A wants apply same logo and designs for the master page for company B, how could this be done in SPO.
