At first everything went well. I applied and 2 days later a recruiter reached out to me. I did a swift interview and then did a code test. Later, Another interview was conducted by the gentleman who was the actual person I would’ve been working directly under. He was wasn’t that talkative yet he seemed interested. The recruiter again reached out to me to see how the interview went. Approx. 3 days later I was asked to do another interview yet it was the same day with no heads up I wasn’t available! Then I got ghosted on.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SADA (Austin, TX) in Jun 2021
Interview
Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and scheduled a HR screening call. Moved forward with 2 other interviews with hiring managers over the next 4 weeks. Sent several follow up emails but never heard anything back. Ghosted. Not even a Dear John template rejection. I'd say this is unprofessional but it seems most companies with poor HR depts and inadequate hiring processes are doing it this way these days.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SADA in Oct 2021
Interview
- 15-min recruiter phone screen
- 30-min interview with hiring manager
Mostly behavioral and situational questions. The hiring manager did not seem very engaged during the interview process and I received a rejection from the recruiter right after the interview mentioning that they were looking for someone more senior.
